How to Pay for Litrevu in Kenya

Pricing in Kenyan Shillings

Three packages, all one-time purchases (no subscriptions):

• Starter: KSh 1,099 for 7,500 words (one assignment)
• Scholar: KSh 3,899 for 50,000 words (thesis-sized)
• Platinum: KSh 12,999 for 250,000 words (labs, power users)

When you open the pricing page from Kenya, KSh prices show automatically. Nothing to toggle.

This is the route we recommend for Kenya. Safaricom's GlobalPay creates a normal Visa card number funded straight from your M-Pesa balance, so it goes through at the Litrevu checkout even when a local card gets declined. It takes about a minute to set up:

1. Open the M-Pesa app and find Global Pay (it sits under the in-app services).
2. Create your virtual Visa card and load it from your M-Pesa balance with at least the package price.
3. The app shows a card number, expiry date and CVV. Keep that screen open.
4. Back on the Litrevu pricing page, pick your package, choose to pay by card, and enter those details. That's it.

Option 2: International Visa or Mastercard

A Visa or Mastercard from a Kenyan bank can work at checkout, but only if international online transactions are switched on. Most banks (Equity, KCB, NCBA, Co-op, Stanbic, Absa, Standard Chartered) have that turned off by default, which is why a local card is often declined on the first try.

Open your banking app, enable “online” or “international” transactions, then try the checkout again. If it still fails, use the GlobalPay card in Option 1, which completes Kenyan checkouts reliably.

Option 3: Google Pay

If you already have a working card saved in Google Pay, it can be the fastest path: tap Google Pay at checkout and confirm with your fingerprint or face, no card numbers to type. It only works if the card behind it supports international online payments, so the same rule as Option 2 applies.

What about paying with M-Pesa directly?

Not yet. STK Push and Paybill aren't plugged into our checkout, so the GlobalPay virtual Visa card in Option 1 is the way to pay from your M-Pesa balance today. Direct M-Pesa is on our roadmap. If it's the one thing stopping you, let us know. Demand is what bumps it up the queue.
